1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Knotty Paw Spa website and booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the site.

2. Services

Knotty Paw Spa provides professional grooming services for dogs and cats weighing 50 pounds or less. All services are by appointment only — walk-ins are not accepted. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet based on health, behavior, or weight at our sole discretion.

Service descriptions and pricing on our website are for general reference. Actual pricing may vary based on your pet's size, coat condition, breed, and the services selected. Any price adjustments will be communicated before the appointment begins.

3. Booking & Appointments

Appointments are booked through our online system and are subject to availability. By booking an appointment, you confirm that the information provided about your pet (including weight, breed, and health status) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

• Please arrive within 5 minutes of your scheduled appointment time.
• Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or rescheduling.
• Dogs must be picked up within 30 minutes of receiving a "ready" notification.
• A late pick-up fee of $10 per 30 minutes may apply after the first hour.

4. Deposits & Payments

A deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. The deposit amount is a percentage of the estimated service cost and will be applied toward the total balance due.

• Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows.
• The remaining balance is due at or after the completion of services.
• We accept payment via credit and debit cards processed through Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.
• Additional charges may apply for matting or other conditions discovered during the appointment.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booked service price.

Knotty Paw Spa reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to emergencies, inclement weather, or staffing issues. In such cases, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

6. Pet Health & Vaccination Requirements

All pets must be current on rabies vaccination. Proof of vaccination is required at or before scheduling. Pets showing signs of illness or contagious skin conditions may be refused service.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Grooming involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, cuts, nicks, skin irritation, stress, and the potential exposure of pre-existing conditions. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, Knotty Paw Spa, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, or death arising from grooming services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You are responsible for any damage to the salon or injury to staff caused by your pet.

8. Emergency Care

In the event of a medical emergency, Knotty Paw Spa will make every reasonable effort to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached and urgent care is needed, we are authorized to transport your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic. You agree to be fully responsible for all emergency veterinary fees and transport costs incurred.

9. Weight & Breed Accuracy

Knotty Paw Spa exclusively serves small and toy breeds weighing 50 lbs and under. You certify that the weight provided in your pet's profile is accurate. If your pet's weight upon arrival exceeds 50 lbs or differs significantly from the weight on file, we reserve the right to refuse service, adjust pricing, or modify the scope of the session. Deposits are forfeited if service is refused due to weight inaccuracy. Repeated discrepancies may result in account suspension.

10. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update your information as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Knotty Paw Spa website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Knotty Paw Spa and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Knotty Paw Spa be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or website. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
